Calvert Lakes and Tithe Barn
Bed and Breakfast or Self-catering Apartments
Our two centres are ideally placed to enjoy the central Lake District with a variety of options for your stay. Our main area of operation is as an outdoor activities centre for people with disabilities and the development of a new ABI Rehabilitation Unit but, like many businesses in the current climate, we are having to diversify and make good use of the excellent facilities we have. This provides a great opportunity for people to stay in unique accommodation and help us through these difficult times while enjoying the best that the Lake District has to offer.
Tithe Barn is within an easy walk into Keswick and can accommodate from 2 to 18 people with private bathrooms (not ensuite) for bed and breakfast. The barn also has two self-contained apartments, both have a double bedroom and one has a sofa bed in the living room making it ideal for families. There is plenty of space to relax with direct access to open countryside. Tithe Barn is just a short distance from Latrigg and magnificent views over Keswick, Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite, and the mountains of the Lake District.
Calvert Lakes is about four miles from Keswick and is centred around a traditional Cumbrian farmstead retaining the character of its origins, with any new buildings built from local stone and techniques in a sympathetic style. Our centre looks out over Bassenthwaite Lake, with the fells of Seat How, Barf and Broom Fell in the background. This houses all our catered accommodation and hydrotherapy pool, and is fully accessible throughout via a combination of ramps and lifts.
