Donations in Memory of a Loved One
During the difficult time of losing someone special, it may be comforting to remember them and celebrate their life by donating to charity in their memory by requesting that donations be made at their funeral, or in lieu of flowers.
Making an in memoriam donation to the Lake District Calvert Trust is a very important contribution and one which can make the world of difference to the people with disabilities that visit our centre. To discuss setting us an In Memoriam donation page please contact us on 017687 72255 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Leaving a Gift in your Will
Leaving a gift in your will is a great way to leave a lasting legacy of support to the Calvert Trust and we are always touched by the generosity of people who leave something to us. After making provision for those family or friends that you leave behind, you make be in a position to make a donation to charity which will be free of inheritance tax. No matter how large or small your gift is, it will be used to benefit people with disabilities, and to help them achieve their full potential. We have outlined some helpful information below, or you can click here for our full Legacy Leaflet.
You Can Make a Difference
As a charity, we are reliant on the generosity of those who believe in our aims. We welcome support which enables those with the most complex and profound disabilities to experience the joy and life-enhancing benefits of the ‘Calvert Experience’.
By leaving a Legacy to Calvert, you will ensure that many thousands of people with disabilities will continue to benefit from the Calvert Experience and the impact of your generosity will endure for many years to come.
You will also in turn support people from our local, Lake District community, who help bring this together.
How To Leave A Gift In Your Will
There are three main types of gift you can include in your Will:
Residuary gift: a share of whatever is left after all debts have been paid and other gifts made,
Pecuniary gift: a fixed sum of money, or
Specific gift: a particular item, for example your house.
You may make an addition to an existing Will via a Codicil form which is stored with your Will
We recommend you speak with a solicitor or professional Will writer. Suggested wording for your will can be found here, in our Legacy Leaflet, which you can find here.
