Thousands of people, with and without disabilities, have visited the Lake District Calvert Trust over the last 50 years and we hope thousands more continue to do so! Providing life-changing experiences wouldn’t be possible without the support of our volunteers, staff, donors and local partners.

As a charity, we work tirelessly to help people of all abilities access the great outdoors. From providing financial assistance to keeping our facilities in the best possible condition, investing in new equipment and creating exciting new programmes, we strive to deliver the best possible experiences. We want all our visitors to cherish their time with us and take the confidence and ambition we inspire, out into the world with them.

There are numerous ways to support our mission – volunteering time, donating money, holding events, sponsoring us or becoming a regular giver. We appreciate each and every effort, no matter how big or small.

Donate

The simplest way to support Calvert Lakes is through donations. Whether you pledge a one-off amount or commit to regular giving, your kind support ensures we can continue doing what we do best. Donations come in all shapes and sizes, and every penny goes towards improving access to outdoor adventures for people with disabilities.

Volunteer

Volunteer your time, expertise and ideas and become an honorary member of the Calvert family. For those interested in ponies, we rely on volunteers to help our RDA riding centre offer wonderful experiences. Or maybe you’re a keen administrator and fancy manning the phone at Calvert Lakes on a regular basis. We’re sure we can find space for one more!

Fundraise for us

Sponsor a pony

Sponsor a pony and help people with disabilities experience riding and carriage driving with support from our highly trained Calvert ponies, staff and stables volunteers. We rely heavily on generous donations to continue our specialist equine sessions. Our ponies love meeting new sponsors too! Sponsorship starts from just £10 a month.

Events

Throughout the year we host a busy schedule of fundraising events. From live music nights to themed dinners, garden parties to cold water dips, our events generate vital income to support the work we do here at Calvert Lakes.
